5 simple tips - If you are having a bad day!

If you are feeling stressed, emotional, or can’t get your mind to zip it, here are a few ideas that always help me :)

#1 JOURNAL WRITE!!!! (this is a GOOD one)

If you don’t have a journal, type it up in your phone, write it on a scrappy piece of paper, whatever! Just get it out of your head & onto something physical. This is seriously therapeutic & I advise everyone that’s going through anything difficult to try it. Don’t be afraid to write your truest feelings - what you are scared to say out loud, swear if you need to, cry if you need to. It feels so good. Then rip it up or keep it to reflect on whatever changes need to be made.

#2 DEEP BREATHING

Take 5 or 10 minutes to calm you mind by focusing on your breath - take deep full breathes all the way into your tummy & full exhales. Place your hands on your tummy a feel the rise & fall of your breath.

If you do this daily you will notice a change in your reactions, you will have a calmer & clearer mind, you will feel refreshed & be more aware and productive.

#3 GO FOR A WALK IN NATURE

Nothing is more grounding & uplifting then the smell of trees, the feeling of grass or sand beneath your feet, breathing in some fresh air & taking some time out to move your body, take in the natural beauty of mother nature & clear your mind.

#4 GRATITUDE JOURNAL

If you’re feeling unhappy this is definitely a mood lifter! It doesn’t matter what is going on in your life there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. So take a pen & write down 3 things that you are most grateful for in your life, do this daily – every morning, or every night before you go to sleep.

To lift your mood instantly think of the number 1 thing that you are most grateful for, close your eyes & really think about that thing or that person. Feel the gratitude in your heart & how lucky you are to have that, hold that space for a few minutes or until you feel better & can’t stop smiling!

#5 YOGA OR MASSAGE!

Who would I be if I didn't mention these two things!?

Firstly nothing beats a good relaxing massage, that pretty much fixes all of life’s problems :P haha.

But on a serious note, both massage & yoga are deeply relaxing, stress relieving, & therapeutic, & that’s why I love them. They help calm the mind, release tension, & you always feels better when you take steps to look after your physical & mental health.

I hope these tips help you & that you are already on your way to a better day!!Thank you for reading, please feel free to comment any of your feedback after trying any of these tips, or have any other ideas that might help fellow readers.

Lots of Love,

Lisa
